So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter (2 Thess. 2:15). Guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the godless chatter and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge, for by professing it some have missed the mark as regards faith (1 Tim. 6:21-22).

Ad orientem watch! Inaugural Mass of the new Archbishop of Cracow.

Beautiful!

January 29, 2017, the new Archbishop of Krakow (con-)celebrated his inaugural Mass ad orientem, which is apparently the norm in Wawel Cathedral.

As one commenter at Fr. Blake's blog has noted, the priests never stopped using the original altars at Wawel. No "wreck-o-vation" there!

Ad orientem worship, i.e., worship facing the liturgical East. The ancient and true practice of the Latin Church!

Ad orientem worship now! Restore the true orientation of the Mass! Ad orientem worship helps priests avoid drawing attention to themselves and helps them avoid the distractions associated with facing the congregation. It's time that priests face the same way as the rest of us do in the Mass—toward God!

Ad orientem worship is the norm of the Extraordinary Form and Ordinariate Form (Divine Worship) of the Mass. It's time to restore to the Ordinary Form the true orientation of the priest during the Mass!
