So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter (2 Thess. 2:15). Guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the godless chatter and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge, for by professing it some have missed the mark as regards faith (1 Tim. 6:21-22).

Quebec shootings. Updated reports.

In an updated report, Radio-Canada has reported that the suspect in the recent attack on a Quebec mosque is (Quebec born?) Alexandre Bissonnette (updated Feb. 1).
A witness who asked to remain anonymous told Radio-Canada that two masked individuals entered the mosque. (What happened to the second masked individual? Was there a second attacker? According to police, Bissonnette was the only attacker.)
"It seemed to me that they had a Québécois accent. They started to fire, and as they shot, they yelled, 'Allahu akbar!' The bullets hit people that were praying. People who were praying lost their lives. A bullet passed right over my head.
"There were even kids. There was even a three-year-old who was with his father," the witness said.

Ahmadiyya muslims have frequently come under attack abroad by other muslims who consider Ahmadis heretics. As of 1974, Ahmadiyya Islam has been illegal in Pakistan. Typically, Ahmadis are law abiding citizens in their western host countries.

May God have mercy on the souls of the departed and upon their families. May the justice and mercy of Jesus Christ prevail.
