So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter (2 Thess. 2:15). Guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the godless chatter and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge, for by professing it some have missed the mark as regards faith (1 Tim. 6:21-22).

Debating big media.

Watching the Republican and Democrat debates from this blogger's vantage point in the North, what many Canadians call the Banana Belt because Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland are nearly as south as Canada gets, one gets the distinct impression that American big media pundits cannot handle being criticized when they ask trite and even goofy questions of the candidates.

The Democrat love-fest masquerading as a debate merely confirms the bias that big media has against any non-liberal, non-socialist enterprise or person representing ideas outside the Democratic Party worldview.

The latest debate, the third Republican debate which was held on the campus of the University of Colorado at Boulder, featured defensive CNBC panelists struggling to assert an agenda consisting of a series of "gotcha" questions intended to marginalize each candidate. Senator Rubio, who astutely assessed a prime opportunity to expose media bias and expose the malfeasance of Hillary Clinton, seized said opportunity and caught the panelists off guard. Senator Rubio remarked:
Y'know,... the Democrats have the ultimate super-pac. It's called the mainstream media. (...) And I'll tell you why. Last week Hillary Clinton went before a committee. She admitted she had sent emails to her family saying 'Hey, this attack in Benghazi was caused by Al-Quaeda like elements'. She spent over a week telling the families of those victims and the American people that it was because of a video. And yet, the mainstream media is going around saying it was the greatest week in Hillary Clinton's campaign. It was the week she got exposed as a liar. It was the week she got exposed as a liar about Bengazi. But, she has her super-pac helping her out—the American mainstream media. (CNBC video: time index 1.04.04—1:04:43; YouTube video: same time index:
Liberal media consist of likeminded individuals who, whether they are fully aware of their bias or not, tend to view reality through the ideology of cultural Marxism. Their rose coloured glasses are more socialist pink than merely the colour of emptied headed idealism. Sadly, this obvious bias toward pink politics prevents journalists from fulfilling their privileged position in our democracies.

Journalists are failing their noble profession because they are failing to represent facts and the issues with integrity. Big media in the 21st Century are the illegitimate offspring of a free press and a political ideology that demands total acceptance of their common agenda to marginalize alternative informed opinions.

Dictators and their totalitarian states do not tolerate criticism of their agenda. The Workers' Party of Korea does not tolerate criticism of its agenda. The DPRK (North Korea) tends to make people disappear when they expose the communist state for what it is—a caustic anti-human edifice existing for the sole purpose of satisfying Big Brother's insatiable need to control people. Big media does not take criticism well.

Though not everything on the internet contributes to the common good, the internet, nevertheless, allows access to news not filtered through the distorted viewfinders of the mainstream media. How much longer can we rely upon the internet to be an avenue of access to unadulterated information before a liberal or socialist government decides it knows better than a nation's citizens which subject matter is acceptable and which is not?
