We are not just material beings, but spiritual persons with a need for meaning, purpose, and fulfillment that transcends the visible confines of this world. This longing for transcendence is a longing for truth, goodness, and beauty. Truth, goodness, and beauty are called the transcendentals of being, because they are aspects of being. Everything in existence has these transcendentals to some extent. God, of course, as the source of all truth, goodness, and beauty, has these transcendentals to an infinite degree. Oftentimes, He draws us to Himself primarily through one of these transcendentals. St. Augustine, who was drawn to beauty in all its creaturely forms, found the ultimate beauty he was seeking in God, his creator, the beauty “ever ancient, ever new.”―Sister Gabriella Yi, O.P.

Dear Ashley, my wife doesn't suspect a thing... . Uh-oh.

Why the following post? Truth matters. Unmasking institutionalized sin is essential to deprogramming people and providing them the information to help them avoid unnecessarily complicating their lives and destroying other people's lives.

The following post concerns a cautionary tale that might be summarized as 'truth will out'. Some may learn something useful from its telling. Others may brush off any discussion as useless moralizing. In this day and age of entitlement when people possess the manners of a rabid squirrel, the latter outcome is the more likely of the two. Certainly, governments are taking seriously the threat the data release poses to respective countries' national security infrastructures. Thousands of senior government staffers' emails are included in the data release. National police and security forces are investigating despite Ashley Madison's corporate executives' assurances that all is well and good. Tell that to the FBI, the RCMP, the Ontario Provincial Police and the Toronto City Police, etc.

Sadly, the mainstream print media will likely enjoy a boost to newspaper sales for including coverage of the release of the Ashley Madison membership data. Treated by the mainstream media, the subject will undoubtedly attract considerable attention to tawdry "news" websites. One such site was accessed by yours truly to retrieve stats relating to the subject at hand. Consequently, yours truly may have to take a second and third shower to feel clean after that visit.

For those of you not acquainted with the Ashley Madison (AM) data bonanza (recently expanded), AM is a website that, among other things, enables spouses to cheat on each other. AM membership data has been brought out into the open by a group known as .. -- .--. .- -.-. - / - . .- --

Measure of Success?

The following graphics say mostly what needs to be said. Note the various concentrations of Ashley Madison users.

Oh... Canaduh.

FYI—Ashley Madison is a Canada-based website started by Noel Biderman of Toronto.

Observations. Consequences?
  1. Red—an appropriate colour choice for those areas with the highest concentration of AM users: sin; blood; wrath; a rash.
  2. Is it reasonable to suggest that the above stats likely correlate to some degree to sexually transmitted diseases among cheating spouses and the abortion of children conceived as a result of their affairs?
  3. Hey—isn't that the Eastern seaboard of the United States? Washington, DC.—the seat of America's national government! And... New York, NY—the financial centre of the world! The US looks bleak. Central Europe looks dismal, as does the entire East coast of Brazil.
  4. It used to be that crowned heads, movie stars and dictators were the main actors in the debauchery games. Now everybody including Joe and Jane Average seems to be in on the act (of adultery).
  5. The only ones likely not complaining in the wake of the data release are divorce lawyers.
  6. Will priests be kept (a lot) busier in the confessional attending to a flood of repentant sinners?
  7. The hangovers people drag into the workplace this coming Monday will likely be forged over a weekend of confrontation and a coming to terms with infidelity.
  8. Is Cardinal Kasper dreaming up ways to permit (unrepentant) serial adulterers to receive Holy Communion?
  9. Are Planned Parenthood execs thinking that they can relax now that the spotlight has shifted on to the Ashley Madison scandal? The videos that expose Planned Parenthood's genocidal warfare on women and the innocent unborn are not going away.
  10. Naturally, Ashley Madison corporate folk are downplaying the data release. Denial, obfuscation, spin... are actions one might expect from a corporation that enables adultery.
  11. Those terrorist groups which hate Western nations can expect to spread their influence with little opposition as the West falls in 10... 9... 8... 7... . Patience is a virtue. Groups such as Islamic State, however, are certainly not known for their virtue.
  12. It is impossible to imagine the magnitude of the emotional carnage that may ensue in the wake of the disclosures.
Schadenfreude? Nein!

If you think current revelations are something, imagine when the Lord Jesus returns and all sins will then be exposed to the light of day!

Imagine, too, those moments after death when all one's sins are exposed.

Amidst the current revelations, let no one take delight in the misery of others. This whole affair—pun intended—should be an occasion for all sincere sinners to make a visit to the confessional, and an occasion to weep and pray for souls imperilled by lying, adultery and fornication.

We are now seeing the full effect of a loss of religion in people's lives. People in the West, infected with a license to commit treason against one's spouse and family, are experiencing the consequences of freedom from sexual and social responsibility. People have sold the religion of God and bought into a religion of man. Was the trade worth it?
