So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter (2 Thess. 2:15). Guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the godless chatter and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge, for by professing it some have missed the mark as regards faith (1 Tim. 6:21-22).

Keeping Watch

As we celebrate the great and blessed feast of Christmas, the Solemnity of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us keep in mind and pray for those who keep watch over us. May God keep safe our soldiers, sailors, airmen, service and support corps personnel (doctors, nurses, medics, military air traffic controllers), police and all emergency personnel and those in the intelligence and security services.

For all those serving far from home and their families, may God watch over them.

Saints of Heaven: pray for them.
Holy Angels of God: protect them.
