So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter (2 Thess. 2:15). Guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the godless chatter and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge, for by professing it some have missed the mark as regards faith (1 Tim. 6:21-22).

Assumption Mass | Holy Father in Korea

The Holy Father celebrated Mass in Latin for a packed stadium. The choir and congregation responded in Latin and sang powerfully in Korean. The Marian hymns were confident and uplifting. The Holy Father spoke deliberately and clearly in English.

The live feed and coverage by the Korean media was excellent. The audio was excellent and captured well the excellent choir and orchestra. The Mass concluded with remarks by Korean prelates and the Holy Father. The Angelus and Final Blessing were in Latin.

  1. So ... Pope Francis is not against Latin in the Mass! Thanks for showing this Wendell and proving the "laptop bombardiers" wrong on the Web! Pax. P.s. The maestro for that orchestra in the surplice and cassock is literally now a "choirmaster" isn't he?
